SPRING SNOW GOOSE HUNT

I AM LOOKING AT GOING ON A SPRING SNOW GOOSE HUNT. I HAVE SEEN A COUPLE OF SITES IN ARKASAS AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS, BUT MOST SEEM TO BE CONCENTRATED IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI NORTH. ANYONE OUT THERE EVER BEEN ON ONE OF THESE SNOW GOOSE HUNTS IN ARKANSAS OR ILLINOIS. IF SO, WHAT KIND OF SUCCESS DID YOU HAVE.

There are several good outfitters in Arkansas and Arkansas hold a lot of snow geese. Thing is, over the years you want to hunt Arkasns in february or the first week or two of March. By the end of the second week or third week of March they are in such huge groups you can't do much with them. Northeast Arkasnas usually hold geese later than south or central Arkasnas, but that's just the time factor the geese generally use to start their migration home.

When it comes to goose hunting, talk to the guide/outfitter you are considering and explain what you are looking for. If you tell them, most will let you know if they think they can fulfill your expectations, but for the NE Arkansas area, consider February or early March at the latest.
