College Baseball

Postby SWAG » Thu Jan 05, 2006 6:18 pm

College baseball is around the corner, starting to get excited about the upcoming season. My son is going to MSU Winter Camp in a couple of weeks, be really fired up then. Coach Polk is one fine man, called to say he has the registration application and everything. Makes the young ones feel really proud. My son is eight and chomping at the bit to get over there with those guys for a couple of days.
On another note, has anyone seen that EA Sports is coming out with a College Baseball 2006 game, due out some time in January (Wal-Mart). Man they better not make Ole Miss too tough on that game...lol.

NCAA baseball games ships on the 17th...according to EA site.

And it would only be fair to make Ole Miss tough, I mean, we are sort of a good team  :D

Baseball game

On other boards people are saying that MSU is not in the game (at least our great stadium). The Ole Miss has been shown in the pictures and it does look good. People are also saying that EA has only decided to focus on schools that went deep in the regionals last year as well. I will be impressed if they get all Div-I school in there. I will believe it when I see it.

if you go to easports.com and read the producer interview, he talks a little about not getting all teams as done as others and how by next release they hope to have all DIV-1 teams down pat....we'll see I reckon

The best baseball park in college baseball today, other than Rosenblatt for the CWS, isn't even in the game, piss on EA.

 Do not want it if the Bulldogs are not included. How in the world could they leave one of the best programs historicaly in the country off of the game?

not downplaying Dudy Noble..... but that's a stretch with the new stadiums at Arkansas and LSU.... not to mention other programs such as Nebraska, Oregon State, etc etc who have spent $$$$$$$$$$$ on their stadiums the past 2 or 3 years. I will say that the Dude is in the top 5 however. And I do agree that it should be on the game....
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

Omaha is special because of the College World Series and a ton of people show up for the games and you're playing for a National Title. Move the tournament to any other field and you still have the same excitement.....but the stadium and field are nothing special. If Mississippi State and Ole Miss play there on a Wednesday night in April, nobody would care and it's just another game.

If you want atmosphere......nowhere....and I mean nowhere beats Dudy Noble. The Left Field Lounge, smoke from the grills drifting across the field, the stadium, field........total package, nothing beats it!
