Battery Storage

Awe, lighten-up, buddy.......no harm intended. The reason I give Greenhead22 so much 'grief' is because he is SO STUBBORN and he takes everything so personal. We really get along perty-well and 'pick at each other all the time. He just makes it worse on himself 'cause he won't admit he's wrong (or just plain doesn't know the difference).....to me, that's 'asking for more'.....and I'm more than willing to oblige him. But also, I know when 'enough' is enough, 'cause everybody has their 'breaking point'. There's a line I WON'T cross, 'cause I have a certain amount respect for everyone here.....'cause we ALL love the same thing.....duck hunting.

Besides......the more 'trash' you talk on here, the more you leave yourself 'wide-open' to ridicule......listen to the voice of experience. Be cool. I've been put 'in my place' a couple of times on here......because I deserved it! The reason 'Cook'em' is on yo butt is 'cause you jumped on him for a 'itty-bitty' wise-crack on the 'choke-tube' thread....ain't his fault you took it so personal.

Be thankful you're not 'Haymaker'.......he still hasn't told us whether he was 'serious' or not.......'course he'll NEVER admit he really wanted to know how to store his Robo batteries, after all this.

Hey, at least I took-up for your gun, even though some of the most likeable folks ON HERE, DON'T.

......and if I stop in Greenwood, it'll be for one of 2 reasons.....to see my old trapshooting buddy, Vernon Ricks, or eat supper at the 'Crystal Grill' (I buy my gas in Lelend). I'm not interested in a personal showdown....we have more in common than you might think.....my Dad grew-up in Greenwood and I was born there!

I knew that it wouldn't take too much to wake everyone up on this page. I was just getting a little board since a can of worms hadn't been opened in a while.
Hope it cheered everyone up and yes the batteries are being stored in the sun outside on the concrete.

I'll try to open another can when I see that things are gettin a little slow here.

I have heard the oven is the best place for them. You have to keep them inside the Roboduck, and turn the oven on to 375 degrees for an hour once a month... should be in great shape when the season rolls around.

If you want, I can search and find my "Topwater" post!

By the way, I like my SBE, even though I had to replace the ejector a couple of times. Maybe I like cause I HAVE to (read money). Like, I don't have enough money to go buy the guns that rich lawyer GC recomends! (that will teach him to comment on looks agian)

Good Job, 'Haymaker'.......that was a good 'test' for ALL of us......'kept us on the hook, about the right length of time, too.

What 'clued' me in, though, was the word, 'recently'. The DU GOF was a month ago and if you were going to express concern over your batteries, you would have done so the next day, 'cause you would've been SO THRILLED over your latest purchase, that you COULDN'T WAIT to share it with the WORLD!.

Otherwise....who buys a 'robo' THIS time of year?

I would think, those contemplating one would ALSO be inclined to wait to see if there's a 3-bird limit on ducks, how many weekends they'll be able to hunt, and what lease prices do before they decide whether they'll even HUNT ducks, this year.....PERIOD!

Of course, that's sterotyping and it's important to realize that, not everyone that uses a 'robo' fits the category I just described.
