first, PLEASE STOP SHOUTING, it's a pain to read--hunting pressure probably is playing a large factor, give them a week off and you may have good results again--i've never had 3 good hunts in the same hole on consecutive days, you need to have some back-up spots
you did put in the plug, right?

I wish I knew. Hunted in Quitman county today, fired a group total of 5 shots. Ripped a hole in a pair of waders that were a christmas present. Lots of geese flying though.

That corn field in the back next to the tree line was FULL of birds Sun at 5pm and Mon morn at 430am when I got there and decided not to fight the rat race. There was 3 groups already in the middle of field at 430. Did not stick around came home and deer hunted then played with my daughter the rest of the day.

Pretty much dead at the two places we hunted friday. Maybe saw 20-30 ducks total. Only heard about 25 or so shots friday. We went south and had a good woodie hunt today. Gotta get better next month.

Yazoo City Area

Postby GreenheadGunner » Tue Dec 27, 2005 11:19 am

Hunted Yazoo City area last weekend. We hunted in a flooded rice field. Water was just enough. We only used about a dozen decoys, which, I thought we should have used more, but that's neither here nor there.Saw several birds at dawn. They circled us a few times, but we couldn't get them down within shooting range. They kept landing about a mile to our Southeast on a flooded tree line. We packed up and moved over there. Then they started landing where we originally were. Not a good hunt, but enjoyed being out there.
