Heard there was a big deer killed in the last day, anyone heard?

Yep, it's a beast. 22 pt, 20" spread, 225lb body weight. Green scored last night by a B&C scorer at 227 1/8. Some of the kickers still have velvet on them where he couldn't rub it off.

It's the second 200+ B&C deer from Pontotoc County in the last 3 years, along with a nice 183 typical.

The guy was hunting with his 8 year old son, shot the deer, but had to leave to go to church. He had no idea how big it was until they got back after church. Bailey said "daddy shot that freaky deer".

bumped it back up so people could see the pics of the deer, assuming this is it ? It was the only big one killed near pontotoc that I could find

I heard it was the deer that was supposed to be some kind of record, but got NAILED on a lie detector test :oops: :cry: :oops: :cry: :oops:

camoup thats the deer . it was taken in pontotoc by steve mcbrayer a good friend of mine. there was no lie detector test . i was on the phone with his brother when they found it . he shot the deer about 445 or so and didnt have time to look for it before church started. and i dont think he knew how big he was cause if he did he probably wouldnt have made it to chruch! with in 30 mintues of them finding the deer they're were probably 150 to 200 people that came to see the deer at my cousins shop. it was and still is unbeliviable how big the deer is...and it was not shot at night !!!!
