Frog "gigging"...is it still legal?

I've heard that the law was changed to prohibit "breaking the skin" of frogs whn hunting them. From what I understand, it's only legal to grab them now. Can anyone confirm this? SB?

grabbing is the only method allowed by law now. you can't shoot or gig them anymore. it is in the rules under frog season

I'm not sure about the specifics, but I heard taht the law was changed to read that frogs must be harvested without "breaking the skin". This rules out gigging and a .22 rifle. Grabbing is the only legal method of harvesting them.

I haven't read the law, so I could be off. If anyone can post the wording of the law, I would appreciate it.

Micha,
I will tell you what the game warden told me. What is the difference from gigging one than grabbing one if you are going to keep them anyway. You already know that I dont care about what they say. I know all of them around here except for this new guy they hired.

Micah, I had the same question a couple of months ago and posted it on here to find out.

I ended up emailing the MDWFP and they emailed me back and said giggin' is legal. He told me all that crap about only being able to hand grab is bull.

If you check my post on Frog Giggin', I posted the email that the man at the MDWFP sent me.
