it is definitely a hoss of an animal, but I never heard of a deer making 400 pounds...but I have been wrong before (rarely, BUT)

this website states heaviest deer on record is 425 and average a saskatchewan buck at 300 and Canandian deer are bigger than average...

ok at the bottom of this article it says heaviest on record was 500 pound deer taken in Minnesota!!! That is NUTZ!!!

I too have heard of a deer from MN that topped the scales at over 500 lbs.
