State Stamp, yes. I'm not sure about Fed.

Click here to buy state stamp: https://www.ms.gov/gf/hunting/index.jsp

Fill out all of the info and then you can scroll down to select which license/ permit/ stamp you'd like to buy.

Be sure to PRINT out the page at the end as this will be your only proof of purchase until your receipt comes in the mail.

Our post office here in Hernando has a vending machine that you put your $15 in and it drops you a stamp...That's what I did.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

i buy my federal stamp online every year.....go to

http://www.usps.com

its the united states post office website

search for duck stamp
make sure you get the right one

also....they give you a confirmation number.....so you can go hunting the next day and just write down the number and take it with you...i dont know game wardens take on it....but it would at least show them you were trying

All I could find on usps.com was the 2000-2001 duck stamp and the 2005 and 2006 Junior Duck Stamp.

jbmc and Sdelta -

FYI, the federal Migratory Bird Stamp Act reads as follows:

Sec. 718a. Hunting and conservation stamp for taking migratory
waterfowl:

"No person who has attained the age of sixteen years shall take any migratory waterfowl unless at the time of such taking he carries on his person an unexpired Federal migratory-bird hunting and conservation stamp validated by his signature written by himself in ink across the face of the stamp prior to his taking such birds; except that no such stamp shall be required for the taking of migratory waterfowl by Federal or State institutions or official agencies, or for propagation, or by the resident owner, tenant, or share cropper of the property or officially designated agencies of the Department of the Interior for the killing, under such restrictions as the Secretary of the Interior may by regulation prescribe, of such waterfowl when found injuring crops or other property. Any person to whom a stamp has been sold under section 718b of this title shall upon request exhibit such stamp for inspection to any officer or employee of the Department of the Interior authorized to enforce the provisions of this subchapter or to any officer of any State or any political subdivision thereof authorized to enforce game laws."

So, if you are 16 years old or older, you have to carry on your person an unexpired and signed federal "duck stamp" for it to be legal for you to hunt/take any migratory waterfow. Just possessing a confirmation number would not be legal.

Just don't want to see ya'll getting in any trouble!

Oh -

Another useful link that will refer you to several web-sites where federal duck stamps can be purchased is: http://duckstamps.fws.gov.

Hope this is helpful!
