Duck Call
Duck Call
What kind of duck call would yall recommend? I have been hunting ducks for about six years and my buddy has always called but we are taking more and more people now and I am going to have to start. I won a wood duck call at the DU banquet along with several other great prizes a while back, but what other one would you recommend. Oh yeah I ordered a Primos Original Wench DU edition yesterday.

calls
I know a lot of guys are fond of the RNT calls, but, I used them for years....now I am a big fan of the HS calls(just seem to fit me a little better). Now I am becoming more and more fond of the Quack Whacker calls...I know several guys that use them, and they blow fairly easy. You may want to save up and get a more expensive call(my HS was $129) and I have absolutely loved it---didn't even have to tune it out of the package...just seemed to be made for me! Go to a store where you can actually use the calls and see which one you like better,a s Wal-mart and some of those stores frown upon the guys wailing on the calls in the store. Good luck to ya!

Man...I kinda like all of em I guess...I gotta Flextone Guide Series this year to backup an old wooden call Ive had forever. I hunt timber and small impoundments. For open water or fields you may like something a little louder like the RNT...Y'all have a nice day

same here! Ive picked up 2 calls from the same manufacturer and same brand and they still have some sound differences. Just walk into walmart or academy and start playing with them.
had a friend that told me he just bought a power hen (can't remeber the name of the call) but he said it sounds much better than his rnt, but cost 140 so maybe after a year or two. I have an echo that i got from walmart and it easy to blow and sounds great, plus it is not expensive
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.
I really like the RNT Quackhead. Being a novice caller, it was easy to blow and learn on and did not cost an arm and a leg. I have been successful at splitting birds out of a flock with this call on several occasions.
Which for me is a major accomplishment...
