4 Wheeler Service

Postby Canton_Coot_Killer » Fri May 31, 2002 1:19 pm

I have just come from Got Gear and picked up my 4 wheeler from getting worked on.

I don't know if any of you guys have ever dealt with them before, but let me tell you,
THEY SUCK!!!

This is based on my personal experience and dealings with the service department there.

I don't care if you go in there and buy up everything in store, I will NEVER spend another dime in that place.

I'm not an unreasonable person but when you deal with people who try and blow smoke up your booty just to keep them from lookin' bad, then there's a problem.....

For all of you out there who think I'm bashing them, then so the hell be it, I am just trying to inform other people who may think about going there or are unsure where to go for maintenance on their bike.

I used to go to Nicholas Power Sports, I think these guys bought them out, I never had any trouble there. You could trust them and know they did the job right and if they were in the wrong, they would do whatever they could to right it.

Just curious, am I the only one who has been there and felt as if he got shafted??

Let me repeat again.......I am not trying to get a lot of people to jump in and bash them, I just want to know. I also understand that this is a man's livelyhood but you must also understand that my hard earned money is going in his pocket for a job that was not done right.

So I'll sum up it with this, if you have a Polaris and need some work done to it, I would not be caught dead in there. I don't know how their prices are on their bikes, they may be the best around, if so, then go get you one.

Hey CCC,
Tell us how you really feel why don't ya! Get rid of that poooolaris and get a real 4 wheeler. Just kidding! Are you still having problems with your bike? We missed you in Memphis this weekend. Can barely hold my eyes open this morning. Must have had too many extra curricular activities.

Big Bear,
Never was having problems with the bike, just took it in to get the brakes fixed and that's when all the bull*$!# took place. The bike runs like a champ, I just couldn't get it to stop!!

Hate I missed this weekend. Are you telling me you stayed out later in Memphis than you did when we all went to Vegas??

Did you get any deals, tell me what you bought, if anything.....

We averaged about 4 am each morning. I am far to old for 2 days of that! I didn't buy all that much. Got a floating gun case for 17.50, a buck gardner duck tote for 4 dollars and a kershaw (switchblade) knife for 20, regularly 50. They had avery deluxe waterproof blind bags 2 for $90 Sunday afternoon, but I was short on funds by that time. They had some pretty good deals on rotating wing decoys. I also got a free maglite (one of the bigger ones) for riding in a nissan truck.

Hell he sounds like one of their employees. I also have heard so troubling things about that place. But after the mean mallard deal I was'nt gonna post anything. Hey canton coot killer I'd be pissed to. I heard what happened. I would'nt have let it go as far as you did with it. Don't worry I've told everyone that owns a polaris not to go there. They don't have a clue.

Prairie, I know Polaris needs more maintenance than other bikes, I realize that and don't mind paying for it. But when they try to fill me with a bunch of $hit that I know ain't right, that's where I draw the line.
You fix it and fix it right, I'll pay for it. No problem, but when the work ain't done and the owner ain't willing to work with you, then there's a problem.
Here's what he told me, told me they would take care of the labor to fix the problem(this is all after a month of the bike not working right)if I would pay for the parts. He told me they would even knock off another 10% off the parts, and told me he was trying to work with me. That afternoon I'm riding down the road and hear they have a 10% sale on all parts for the big open house on the weekend.
In other words, he played me like a damn piano. Pisses me off!

But if you think that is the best place on earth, have at it.
