Ripped toenail.

Postby bigbeeducker » Mon Dec 05, 2005 10:04 am

I wanna start off by saying that i was extremely pleased with my dog this weekend. Her and another dog picked up 70 ducks on Saturday. Lost one cripple that dove and that was it. Anyway, my question is have any of you guys ever had a dog rip a toenail off. Im not talkin about breakin half of it. The whole thing is gone, down to the quick. She acts like it is real sore and wont hardly put it down. Should i take her to the vet or just make sure i keep it clean. I dont know. Any advise will be appreciatted. Todd

Been there also ,hate it for you.Simple fix get one of those heavy rubber mat's with hole's from Lowes or HD cut to fit, work's on most anything that will hang a toenail.
