Good luck with your lazer. I'm waiting for my eyes to adjust from years of contact lense wear before I can get mine zapped. Let us know how it goes.

I guarantee you wont be disappointed! I had mine done in October of last year and it was absolutely the best money I ever spent. The first couple of weeks are a little weird due to the halo's you will see around light at nite time. This only lasts a little while, and in no time you'll be wondering why it took you so long to get it done. Eight months after my surgery the only side effect I have is GREAT VISION! Not to mention the fact they give you a valume about thirty minutes prior to surgery. The procedure itself is not to bad because its over so quickly, but I must admit it was a little freaky lettin someone cut on my eyeball.

Hope surgery went well. I had mine done a yr and a half ago and would do it again. Make sure you do what that tell you afterwards. Mainly sleep--and keep 'em wet.

My vision was 20X600 (you know, can't see the big E on the chart)...now 20X15. It was amazing, I had worn glasses/contacts since 6th grade.

Glad to hear it 00duck, I'm now penciled in for June 12th unless there's a change. I'm getting quoted a price in Meridian of $1,400 per eye, which includes a years worth of follow up visits and any touch ups needed.

How does that compare to your doctor? Thanks

You've done it now! What excuse will you have now when you miss that greenhead locked up with his feet down about 25 yds. out?

The first pair of contacts I had were great. I was going duck hunting one morning and a stick decided it wanted that contact more than my eye did. The doctor that gave me those had since moved and I didn't know where. I tried a couple of eye doctors in the southaven area and for 2 years none of them idiots could get it right. Advanced eyecare in collierville finally took the initiative and ordered me some custom fit contacts and PRESTO!!!!!! I now am able to read 5 of the 6 characters on the 20/10 line. I am thinking of getting the surgery myself sometime in the future, I just want to be able to see like I do with the contacts after the surgery so I may yet wait few years as they seem to be advancing by leaps and bounds every day.

i reseached this five years ago before they had the laser i also had a problem with stigmitism, its not cheap 2400 a eye at omni eye services here in mphs this doc was doing the procedure out of country prior to getting the laser here in mphs that would both corect my vision along with my stigmitism. what finally got me was the fact i had worn contacts for so long that blood vessels were growing to the center of my eye and at my age things were likely not to get any better this guy is suppose to be the best arround and i have been extreemly satisfied it sort of like this on price i wouldn't let it be my only concern in this matter reseach ask question read history of this and earlier procedures get any docs bio and success at this and any problems he has had in his practice. this might not help my shooting but i am glad i had it done

Had mine done at Meyer Vision clinic here in Memphis. After alot of research they seemed to be the most experienced, and have the best track record. Once I decided to have it done I wanted to make sure I had the best for obvious reasons, and I wasnt going to let price decide who I used. Turns out their price was fairly competitive and they were nice enough to give me a discount for being a police officer. Seems like the total for both eyes and a years worth of follow-up visits was around $2500.

Congrats. I had mine done at Southern Eye Associates in Memphis. $899 per eye special price last June 9th. I went from SEVERE astigmatism and 8.5 power hard lenses to 20/15 in both eyes. To me this was an absolute miracle that I am thankful for every minute of every day. I reccomend SEA on Poplar Avenue for sure.
