I was just wandering how many of you guys try to shoot drakes only. I TRY but on something like greys its kinda hard for me to pick out the drake. I am very big on just drake mallards but thats about it. I wish i could pick out all drakes all the time on every sepcies but it just doesnt work out like that. just out of curiosity how many of u guys shoot for just drakes?

Hey ,
Like you said I try my best to shoot the drakes but on some ducks it is hard to tell at certain parts of the day. I am with you 100% shoot for the green.

Maybe one day I will get there. If I have a pair come in I will try to drop the drake first and then go for the hen for a double. If it is a solo hen then I typically let her light and watch for a while, but if she tries to get up then she is goes in the crock pot, unless I miss which happens more than I like.
