Bigwater,
I watched Norwood play Wayne County(?) his senior year at Brandon during the playoffs. Holy shat, he made the ENTIRE field look like a bunch of little boys trying to play a man's game. His talent was at such a higher level than the rest of the players on the field it was unbelievable. Never met the dude, but my girlfriend was a coupla years ahead of him at Brandon and says he's as good a guy you'll meet.

Congrats to Norwood. IMO, he is a first class young man, a great football player, and very deserving of this award. While I think PWillie is equally deserving and hell of a football player, only one can win it and it was a tough call to make --- but, PWillie is a junior, and if he returns for his senior season, will have another crack at it.
Norwood has performed well, even behind a horrid OL at times. He has played through injuries and shown the heart of a champion. He shows class both on and off the field of play. Anyone who thinks Norwood is undeserving of this award, based upon any standard, is a moron.
