Po Monkey Lounger wrote:GH22, I would have thought after MSU's big win over Ole Miss, that you would be talking about that , the bright future at MSU in football, how Croom is on the right track to turn things around at MSU on his eight year plan, why Henig should be given strong consideration for the Heisman next season, why Norwood should be granted another year of eligibility aT MSU under the "mercy rule", why Croom should be coach of the year in the SEC for winning the Egg Bowl, what MSU will be doing to ward off all the other schools who will come calling to steal away your assistant coaches, etc. etc. But, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
GH 22 prefers to discuss, as many MSU fans do, anything negative, remotely negative, or possibly negative (depending on the proper spin) going on at UM, whether based upon fact or fiction/rumour. This obsession with UM, as opposed to what MSU is doing or not doing, is something that I have commented on before, and continue to marvel at from a distance. I guess everything at MSU is all rosy?? No changes needed to address a 3-8 season? Just so long as MSU beats UM, all is well?Oh my. Some things never change.![]()
BTW, to all MSU fans, kudos to MSU for winning the Egg Bowl. They played very well and clearly wanted the win more than the Rebs did. J. Norwood is a great player, and in a dismal season for UM regardless of the outcome of the Egg Bowl, it was nice to see Norwood leave the field a winner in his last game. He is a first class young man. For some reason, I am just not upset about UM losing this game this year. Apathy perhaps. I did not even listen to the entire game, but took my nephew deer hunting that afternoon instead. When I went into the woods, the game was tied at 14. When I came out, MSU had won 35-14. And I did not lose any sleep over it. I'm looking forward to a good recruiting year for my Rebs and better days ahead.
As I stated a few weeks ago, I would decline on discussing about anything concerning an MSU football game or the team for the rest of the season, and I have done so. So the only other thing I have to discuss is UM's downslide and all the negativity that surrounds them.
