If some animals are good at hunting and others are suitable for hunting, then the Gods must clearly smile on hunting.

What's the deal with WMAs this year? Are they trying to make us stop hunting them or something?

Don't know but something is happening with WMAs. You can't hunt a lot of them.
No water, katrina, global warming, booty whoopings or something

Cootblaster wrote:WD- you know anything about some place up around greenwood called Matthews Lake?

Actually Cootblaster it is Matthews Brake. It's a good place, but again, if you sneak over into the "refuge" part of the WMA it is much better. This is easy because of the usual water levels there allowing you to motor into the "refuge". Also you can access a few private leases as well from there, but just make sure you don't get caught. The best time to arrive at Matthews is around 9am or so once everyone is set up and ready for a late morning push of birds. This way you can see where everyone is set up and choose your spot accordingly. I recommend setting up close to somebody with a weak looking spread. This way you can put out a few spinners and pull ducks away from others around you. Good luck and if you need any directions to the ramp just give me a hollar.

I don't hunt public land anymore

That's a direct quote from WD. He feels perfectly content to whore out the WMA 'cause he DON'T HUNT THERE ANYMORE.

You piss ant phuuck hole.

Why don't you tell us EXACTLY where you hunt now? Or you got a problem with that?

You're just bitter because your stuck hunting public land. That means one of two things. You have no friends to invite you to there place. Or you're not successful enough to purchase some land or a lease on your own.
I just want the young guys to get in there and enjoy shooting ducks like I do, so I'm happy to help them out. And I do have many GPS numbers to some really nice holes in many WMA's. So if any of you guys want to give me a hollar I'll be happy to share them.
Shoot 'em up. WD, over and out.

Cootblaster You have PM. Those are my best ten spots that I sent you in Panther. They are all subject to water levels, but most should produce pretty well. A few are pretty close to each other. The second list is a handfull of numbers from Sunflower and Delta National. Good luck and let me know how you do.
