el camino crew

Postby feather » Mon Nov 28, 2005 9:43 pm

They're baaaack! I went in a WMA Sat. morning at 4:30 and left the landing at 5 am. I had motor trouble and set up closer to the launch area than I wanted. Was picking up my dekes when boats began to come out heading back towards the landing. They apparently put in off the beaten path in a ditch as the regular landing is too shallow for most to launch and I was the only one there. Thing is I was within hearing and sight of lights coming thru the woods from anyone coming from that direction and I only saw two boats get ahead of me. So 5 of the seven boats I had come back by me later in the morning MUST have launched and entered the area prior to 4:30. So I knew they were outlaws. Anyway, the last two boats came out together and each 14 footer had FIVE guys in it! One also had the ugliest cur dog looking retriever I ever saw so I thought about the el camino crew. I cranked up and overtook them and what a mean looking ugly bunch they were. I waved to them as I passed and three of them flipped me off! So I get back to my truck and decide to drive around to where they launched in the ditch cause I'm wondering if I can launch there too. I get there and a game warden has two of them in cuffs and the others are off to the side looking like they're ready to KILL the warden! I pull over and get out to talk to a decent looking fellow and he tells me that this group went around in the dark before everyone left the ditch and pulled the plugs on his and one other boat. Said they didn't sink but held up the two groups nonetheless. These were the two boats that came in at a legal time. I asked him how they could do that and not be seen and he said they started a ruckas with their dog. Had him on a leash and he was biting and fighting trying to get away so he could attack the other hunters...said it was pretty serious with alot of cussing and tension in the air. I asked him where the dog was now and he said they had it tied up in the back of their truck. Well I walked down past the group of guys and here's this same ugly dog tied down with some green clothsline in the back of a piece of crap gray and bondo EL CAMINO...Tallahatchie tags. Anyway, I wouldn't mess with these guys if you see them and for God's sakes, put your dog up if they come around. Most of them look to be in their 40's and 50's and look really, really rough. Do ya'll know if the oldest one still lives at Phillip? He was one in cuffs.

Heck yeah...they are PI$$ED off big time. They won't resort to taking plugs outta boats now...they'll probably take props off, take gas line hoses, etc. I wouldn't mess with them now.

Stitch these guys showed up last year and beat the crap out of a game warden with a chain and a pipe. Then they proceeded to set fire to an out of stater's truck...the guy that sic'd the game warden on them. Story goes that they had tried to fight him but he backed down and called the law. After it all settled down and the warden had his statement he launched his boat and went hunting. There were five or six of them and they ganged up on the warden and really beat the crap out of him. They tied him up and put him back in his truck. Then they put some old tires under the OOS's truck and lit them and hauled butt. The truck burned slap up...you can see the burnt trees at the landing now. We all saw the smoke while we were hunting but I put in at a different landing and didn't know what had happened til later. One of them spent something like six months in the county jail...they hunt around LeFlore County but I think they are from Tallahatchie County. I know the oldest one lived in a trailer under the overpass at Phillip but I don't know if he came back after he got out of jail. I do know that he got out though. One of them drives an old gray El Camino so these guys on here tagged them the El Camino Crew.

Gravelroad, unless your buddies have been in prison and have been convicted of murder, you best live these fellows alone. They will just as some shoot first and stomp tail later. If you see a grey El Camino around stop and have a chat with the lads. Then make your statement. Did that one fellow every go to jail for killing that boys lab and then leaving them poor fellows for dead a couple years ago on that public land near Tally?
