Thanksgiving doe

Postby Unkljohn » Mon Nov 28, 2005 3:52 pm

I was lucky enough to get 2 shots at this doe Thanksgiving morning. It was my first time out withthe new Tribute. 1st shot was broadside at 30 yards, but I forgot to adjust my sight and shot a little low. She started to run, but stopped right under my stand, turned around and went back for more acorns. The 2nd shot didn't miss, you can see the exit wound from it and where the first shot just grazed her belly. Crazy it didn't spook her!

PSSSSSSSST (whispering voice) It's dead.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

The other one belongs to a kid that I took with me. It was his 2nd deer ever. He killed a 135 9 point 2 years ago, and nothing since. He shot it at 250 yards with a 7mm Mag
Pretty good morning!
