Postby MSduckpro » Tue Nov 22, 2005 3:38 pm

I am currently in school and was wondering if Mahannah was holding any ducks?

I guess you have not heard, Mahannah was sold this past year to a timber company. Good luck!

Few birds there now, couple of guys that I know were scouting the woods for deer and saw a few groups working the flooded fields. They weren't duck hunters so they couldn't tell me what they were though. I am guessing if you have water you'll have birds on Friday. I spoke with one of the wardens on Sunflower and he was telling me they have have a few birds too. A good group of Mallards flew in over the camp yesterday heading that way so it's woth a shot.

Good luck,

JG

Mahannah is closed until Feburary for the special conservation season on geese. Really focusing on those basterds this year

Who cares? Mahannah used to be near and dear to my heart, but I won't touch it with a ten foot pole now.

over heard several people talking about getting limits on good ducks, but as usual, never said where they were hunting.
