A few years ago I took a rookie waterfowler on an early teal hunt here in Texas. I had built a good blind in an excellent area and had scouted and seen beu coup (allot in coonass) ducks. That morning as we waded to the blind we were flushing teal with every step. I told Rob to take his dog to the blind and start pulling the brush and camo up around it. I told him that there was some skeeter spray and to spray everything down.
As the sun came up we popped a few teal and when I looked at Rob I almost fell out of the blind laughing...he had grabbed the Olive Drab Spray Paint from under the bench and had sprayed himself and his yellow lab down with it!! He had this nice shade of green and his dog had stripes!. He said it felt sorta of sticky and smelled like paint but he thought it was just some old Army spray. You should have seen the looks he got at the cafe!
I still laugh about this,
