New funcionality...what would you like to see?

After three years of growth in MSDucks.com, I'm looking to take it to a new level with DuckSouth.com.

What would you like to see on the new site? What can I do to set it apart from the rest of the waterfowling sites out there?

The community is what makes MSDucks.com what it is, but can we do that on a larger scale? What other sites do you guys visit, and what do you like most about them?

Let me tell you what I like about this site first. I like having the majority of the posters being from the same geographic area. The gathering we had goes along way to making a sign own name a person instead of a ghost figure that you never meet.
I go to the Refuge and duckhole,Waterdog one, as well as the Arkansas site.
Each has their place.
I like the habitat forum on duckhole, the nothing but dogs of waterdog and the never-ending preppie show of people on the refuge.

Your doing a good job with this forum and that says a lot since you have to deal with so many personalities.

I can tell you what I don't like. 100 different forums; you know, one for left handers, quail, diver hunting etc. I enjoy reading whatever pops up that may interest me. But hopping around for every subject is a pain and dilutes or fractures the forum IMO. My .02

You're right on Booger! You take a site that's already addressing a special interest and try to divide it up, and you won't have enough activity to keep it going. This is one of the factors behind MSDucks success in my opinion.

I only like this one and I visit the duck hunters boat page-they are great sites. but I don't get into boat building things they do just cause I can't build **** !keep it up man! this one's the best!

Everything is great. One thing i thought you maybe could do is set up a section to put pictures of the hunt or fishing trip on. It doesnt really matter i was just givin an opinion. You know what they say about opinions they are like booty holes, everybody has one and they ususally stink.hahaha

I like the fact that this has been primarily a Mississippi based board, since we all know that we got the best looking women here in MS. Oh, you were asking about duck hunting, weren't you? ooops.

I think that the place works fine as it is. I would like to be able to conjure up a list of members, though. That way if I want to e-mail someone I don't have to either wait for them to post or go through my archived e-mail.

Yeah to many forums clutter things up,and with amind as cluttered as mine I cant deal with much more. The picture page was a good idea even though I couldnt do it if I wanted to.And the member list.

it's the perfect site for ms boy's,maybe a out of towner forum. but the e-mail program with members list would be great. my $10000.00 worth

Micah, Only thing that would make things a little better for me would be after you post a reply to take you back to the main board rather than back to your post. This is due to the fact my computer at the house is slowwwwww. By the way this is the best board on the net. Thanks for all you have done. baldduck

I'm new to the board, so I guess you can count this as my $.01, but I agree with GC. It is really nice to be talking mostly to guys from MS or guys who hunt local. It gives a little more common ground than on most sites.
P.S. I really hate I didn't find this board before the big cookout. It sounds like I missed out on a real treat!!!
