Wife needs advice. . .

Postby 155th Green Head Mama » Fri Nov 11, 2005 8:45 am

Advise me please, guys. Even tho my old man won't be home until January, I want to get him some new decoys for Christmas. I am a penny pincher, but his mantra is. . ."You get what you pay for." I've looked at everything from G & H thru Flambeu. Advise me on this, please.

Reality is is does not matter, If he is not happy with any decoys that you get him you can trade him in for a real duck hunter. There are at least 100 guys on this board that you love to have a wife that would get them decoys for Christmas. The only thing better is to buy him a set of camo that fits you. Then you can go with him.

I have already bought him a bass boat since he has been over seas. Guess that improves my "good wife" points even more, huh? Here's the trick, guys. Go away for a VERY LONG TIME. Then the wife will miss you so bad, you'll have all kinds of new pretty play toys when you come home. :D

I like the G&H Magnums. The paint seems to last a lot longer than any other brand I have used. Even the ones that survived Hurricane Katrina in a tree still look good.

I second the G&H Magnums.......I just don't care for those goofy-looking greeter/preener heads, though. I never seen a duck look like that (except when you shoot'em in the back)

I just have to say that you are one hell of a wife, and we thank your husband for everything that he is doing, and to encourage you to be proud of him and all his efforts. That being said, i would have to say go with G&H. Always wanted some but cant afford em.
