..and it appears he is still very bitter about Jimmy Johns not signing with M$U.
Some reporter asked him about Johns making special teams plays.
He responded something to the effect of "..he's never gonna play QB at Alabama, just like I told him."
Seems like he could have just wished him well and moved on. Or perhaps talk about his team.
Oh well. The Alabama nation has bigger fish to fry than this.
I just listened to Coach Crooms post-game comments...

But I see something out of Johns that reminds me of a big bruiser back from years past....Shawn Alexander.
How is it lying when they asked the kid if he wanted to redshirt or play this year?
He had the choice.
Call it what you will....I call it not letting something go.
Perhaps Shula told him that if he played at M$U, he would never be on a winning team? Is that a lie?

Shawn's a heck of a RB, but never considered him a bruiser...he's maybe 5-11 in spikes, and a shade over 200 (maybe 220 at the most)...maybe it's just me but I've never considered him to big a "big bruiser" (course that could be relative)...saw him in street clothes next to Herschel Walker at the UGA/UA game in T-town a few years ago...and well it's kinda interesting when a current NFL athelete looks small next to a 40 year old ex-pro.... Not to take anything away from Shawn, he's a great RB, but the few times I've been around him I never thought of him as "Big"....
Anyway...coaches refer to other teams players every now and then, but obviously it's a sore spot for Coach Croom...specially when it seems the only significant playing time he's seen this year was against State....

Last time I checked, Alabama has gotten alot more quality players from MS, than M$U has gotten from AL. There hasn't been much 'losing' of good players as you might like to think.
Of course, this is all irrelevant to the topic at hand. Go figure?!?!
You are way too bitter when it comes to the mighty Alabama. Seek help.
