Be there tomorrow for the Grizz game and I like Rendezevous but some of yall have dogged it. Let me know what you think. Remember, within walking distance of Beale(for a fat guy)!

There really isn't any worth a crap in walking distance. They are all tourist traps...even the rendevous. THE BEST BBQ in Memphis (IMHO) is Central BBQ on Central near Parkway, they cook competition style ribs every day. 2nd is Cozy Corner at 745 N Parkway(bring your hog leg, very bad part of town)...but damn awesome ribs!

Add another vote for Texas de Brazil (although it's not BBQ - well... maybe Gaucho BBQ)... it is pricey, but you can eat your weight in good meat. They're open for lunch, too... less expensive... a more limited selection of meats... but still good and as much as you handle.

While you are on Beale Street, you need to stroll through the Peabody Place. Lots of interesting shops.

The Butcher Shop is within walking distance, and has a heck of a steak.

The best bbq is Neely's, or Interstate but I dont know if there is one close. Corky's is good, but they are not close to Beale. The only one I know of withing walking distance is the Rendevous. Famous, but a little pricey for what you get. They cater to the tourist croud that stay at the Peabody hotel.

Pat OBriens is on Beale now.... Alfred's is not a bad place to eat either.
