Tint on Windows
Guys put yourself in my postion and walk up to vehicles everyday and not be able to see who or what is inside them. Just look every week somewhere in this country of ours some officer is getting shot. So look at the whole picture not just as an inconvenience. And by the way big R is a crook anyway. I have my windows tinted reasonably dark. I respect law enforcement and out of courtesy, roll all windows down if an officer is approaching the vehicle. I do this when driving a vehicle with no tint as well. Out of courtesy, I also place my hands where they can be seen as the officer is walking to the window.
I see no reason I can't have my windows tinted the way I want as long as I can see out of them at night and it poses no danger to others.
If some worthless thug is going to shoot at you, he's going to do it whether his windows are tinted or not. This law isn't going to help do anything but harass honest folks who want dark windows. Is no more freakin helpful or effective than bs gun control.

hey guys, just remember your vehicle comes new with a tiny bit of tint when you buy it. you then go to the tint shop to get "the legal limit" and boom right there you go over not knowing any better.
ar. is the same as ms. we have always had the "state" law but, it was never enforced until recently. spoke with one of our troopers over here and he says they removed/retinted no telling how many of their cars just to be fair to citizens.
count yoursleves lucky that they are not coming down on yall over exhaust. if you are too loud in west memphis they ill pull you over and crawl under your vehicle to check it out. if it is not right they will write you up.

I've been successful a couple times with rollin mine down when I go to get my sticker. Might try that at a new place.

I agree it sux I tinted mine to protect my interior and to keep my vauluable's out of site with what was leagl tint in 01 now they say it is illeagl bull crap.If they want it off then they should pay for removel and reapplying leagl tint.My wife is in the clothing bussines and travel's at times with hundreds of dollars in merchindice that don't need to be seen by the local crackhead walking in the parking lot.Also if it's such a hassel for law enforcement just do like on cop's DRIVER EXIT THE VEHICEL and so on til the car is empty,some states out west require dark tint for safety and it can't get no hotter out there than it does here.It don't matter if window's tinted or not a person that's got shooting on his mind is gonna do it either way.I guses you could throw the gun slinger law at them ,your veichel is an extenison of your home.

Step 2. complain of excessive sensetivity to light
Step 3. Have your eye doctor fill out a form saying you need a darker tint due to bright light
Step 4. Carry that in the car with you and end of story
That is the way it works down here. However I will say I don't sign those papers here in Louisiana unless someone has a legit reason becuase over here if you as the optometrist/ophthalmologist signs such a thing you can become liable for any car accidents they get in. But something to look into over in MS.

i'm glad OUR LAWMAKERS are so worried about the tint on my vehicle. Just another bunch of bull that the cops can hassle me about when they ought to be out ther fighting the real crime and not eating for half price at all the restaurants in town.
You know cops in general would get more respect if they were willing to GIVE some respect to productive members of society. I have always been very disrespected by cops for the most part. Of course its always a few bad apples that ruin the whole bunch..... I'm not trying to bash them b/c i respect what they do, but there are some that i could care less about.

Maybe they are concerned about you?????????? Just aother physics lesson here, but the darker a tint the less light that passes through the window. The less light that passes through the glass the less you can see. Therefore at night with dark tinted windows you see almost nothing. Therefore you become a danger to yourself on the roads and also to everyone else driving on them. So then the bad apple cops have to get busy with accident reports and everything else to pick up your mess from dark tinted windows. So then they really can't go after the bad guys. If you need tinted windows that bad come see me I'll get you some dark sunglasses.

Guys, not trying to start an argument with anyone, but...
Think about it from a law enforcement side... You have a vehicle pulled over and you are by yourself. Approaching the vehicle at night you notice tinted windows. The person inside could have a gun pointed at you and you would not be able to see it. Until you have had a law enforcement friend or relative killed in the line of duty from this instance you really don't understand. It may cramp your 'style' a little by not having your tint, but it is being enforced so that law enforcement officers can go home safe to their families at night same as you. Guy's LE have enough to worry about on a daily basis... lets try to help out.

Heres my gripe....I carry thousands of dollors worth of tools and slot machine parts. I feel like a big target everytime I park now that my tint has been removed. There are thousands of panel vans on the road. What about semi trucks??? Seems like a knee jerk reaction to an isolated problem...I need some new tint....BAD
