No hunters orange in box stands and tripods

Postby peewee » Mon Oct 31, 2005 2:56 pm

Looks like there is now a law that says you dont have to have hunters orange in a box stand, tripod or ground blind.

The rest of the story goes as such:

No sir (GW) I have My hunter orange I forgot to put it back on after I shot that 12 point. Yes Sir I know I am supposed to wear it at all times outside of MY tree stand but it was a 12 point. No sir I did not know that homer was hunting over the ridge. When I started trailing the 12 point I lost all sense I guess I just followed the blood trail. This morning the nurse told me you would be visiting me. The doctor told Me today had that bullet from the 30-06 been one inch to the left I'd be dead.

i think this is dumb rule if you wear it in a ladder stand or climber and it does not affect deer what would it hurt to wear it in a enclosed stand.
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.

How many times have you got hot in a box stand with orange on and when you took your jacket off the orange came off with it. Well this happened at one of my camps(crowder critter) game warden pulled up in his truck and wrote a ticket.

I can see both points but that was kind of nit picky I think.

Kind of like some cops they will right you for no seat belt and you know of streets that crack flows like water.

Any street in Cdale, Lambert, half of Marks just stop a cop he can point you in the direction you need to look.

That has got to be the dumbest rule change ever. What difference does it make? If you are in an enclosed stand, no one can see the orange anyway......Our state genius's at work, once again.
dumb dumb dumb....
