Auburn did get screwed last year to the extent that they were not able to play for a national championship.

No self-respecting Auburn fan claims a national championship from 2004. Auburn should have been given a chance to play for it (especially after watching the OK / USC game.), but nobody should claim that Auburn won a national championship last year.

P.S. - Golf Digest did declare Auburn as National Champions in 2004.
