br549 since youve used them for so long, what is the best techinque to weight them down. been doing some thinkin and thought that a simple slip line with a weight on it would prolly work the best. just need some input.

we use a small nylon twine 3 to 4 ft in length with a 1/2 oz lead fishing weight. Simply drop the lead weight and line in the hole then stick the decoys head in the hole behind it! Makes for a real compact item! Remember though they are rubber and will deterioate in the sunlight and dryrot in extream heat so you have to take care of them when not in use! Good luck!

That is all I used last season. Carry 24 full size and four bobbling feeders and a mojo all in a large back pack (not decoy bag) Lite weight and the wind will move them around good. I anchor mine with the small adjustable yo-yo set-up. and a 2oz egg weight. Mine are featherlite and I can blow them up and put them out in less than half the time it takes to put out regular.

Got one of these from Mack's with my G&H field mallat shells order...Like the compactness and the bright legs floppin....Might be all you'd need in a timber opening?
It's got a sand pouch in the bottom and stuffin in the head, jerk cord but no anchor supplied. Brick bat with an eye bolt or a stake for anchor should be easy enough...

I use them and they fit really well in a back pack....I rig them just like I do my other dekes. I take the strap weight and wrap it around their necks for transport. There are two different models....one that partially inflate when you pull the plug and then you have to finish blowing them up and the other kind..like I have that you have to blow up all the way, which is really easy to do.

I Love them! About the only thing I use. I use a regular 4oz. strap weight and cut them in half.I use a snap swivel to attach the cord to the decoy.When I carry them I wrap the cord around the weight then fold the weight over the cord to keep it from unrolling. I do not carry the weight attached to the decoys.I can carry a dozen and a half in a final approach backpack.Best thing since sliced bread.

I hunted with a buddy that had some of the FeatherLites last year. The only thing I could find negative about them was that the color seemed to come off pretty easily. He hadn't had them very long and it seemed like it was easy to scuff them up. May want to be careful keeping them in the bag with other decoys.
