My first Tradbow deer!!!

Postby driveby » Tue Oct 18, 2005 8:42 pm

On my third day of my second year of trying to kill a deer with a traditional bow, I scored. And to make it even better I did it from the ground. I killed this spike this evening behind my house. I was hunting a food plot from the cover of some honeysuckle and pine trees. He came in at 6:30 and I took him from 20 yards with a Browning Cobra I recurve and a Goldtip traditional tipped with a 125 grain Magnus. He only ran 60 yards. I'm as proud of this little buck as I am of my big ones I killed with a gun.

Hey Driveby,
He's 2 and you aint got him out there with a stick and string. Pack up some "Capri Sun" (yeah right ) and get him in a tree!!!!!!!! Oh yeah Dakota is a sharp name, it just sounds tuff!

Congratulations, Driveby. you really did good. A 20 yard shot, at that.

Nothing like the first traditional kill. The good thing about it you get the same feeling on all of them. There is no getting use to it.

Now that you've got that first one out of the way and found out you can do it, there will be no stopping you now. With the confidence that you got from killing that buck, the rest will come eaiser.

I wish you the best.

Warren
