I want to be able to hunt as many days as I can. The limit is no big deal.
I do think they should have limits like:
1 of each species and 3 shovelers.
That way you could just stay out there and hunt all day. Might not harvest but 3 ducks and might harvest up to 6-10 ducks.

Limit of Ducks!!!
Would you be happy with 60/1 ?
I could get used to that but it's a stretch.
60/2 no problem but 60/1 is pushing it.
I could do that and be happy though.
My guess for this coming season based on how much rain SO FAR is 45/4, no hens.
I really think this is what we will be looking at if not 45/3
Either one of those is fine with me and I have no problem with that at all.
The "new" guys feel like they are being robbed, because they dont know anything BUT these big seasons and big bags.
Hell I remember when 45/4 would be a God Send.
So like I said, it would take 60/1 to force me to get used to it. Anything below that I can deal with it without a flinch.
I am going to embrace this thing this year right out of the box because it probably isn't going away anytime soon.
I'm going to leran to hunt snow geese and speckle belly and I hope Jeff may come and help me with that. Why not? I know how to duck hunt, why not learn something new and help out when you do it? We need to get rid of some of these snow geese and we DONT need to get rid of as many ducks. So heck, why not just embrace it and spread out my skills?
I'm also going to try these second season doves, because last year I saw SO many doves that time of year that I decided I would hunt them a few days.
Between doves and geese I can burn up that 15 days I will loose without a problem. And thats what Im gonna do. I will actually be killing MORE than I was duck hunting all the time.
And to me, thats the smart way to play this game that is geared to being part of the solution and not the problem.
I dont care for snow geese but I know plenty people that would LOVE to have them, and could USE them, so why not enjoy myself harvesting them and then give them to someone who appreciates eating them?
(I'm keeping the speckle bellies)
It will just make me a broader hunter and in times like this, that is one way that we can all grow and enjoy doing it. Go with the flow. We have plenty of options to choose from. I'm going to try and enjoy all of mine to the fullest. This way ducks will be the BEST part of much MORE, and I like that idea a LOT.
I'm going to learn to hunt some GEESE.

Lacuna,
As I said on another topic the 60/1 is better than the 30/3. I don't need the days for myself, I'm thinking about my dawg. I already do the snow goose thing after duck season. Do alot of it in the afternoon during duck season.
Their is some wizard on the board that can figure the stats on having a 6 limit like last year compared to having a limit where you could only harvest one duck of each species. I would not have a problem with that at all. I think there would be less total ducks harvested with that type of limits.
What do ya'll think!!!!!!!
