according to Ron Garavelli, director of MDWFP fisheries dept, he urges everyone to catch, put on a stringer, carry home, roll in corn-meal and fry bass fron area lakes... he states that Ms. has the potential to produce record setting bass, but too much catch and release has area lakes over populated...{i never contributed to this problem} check out his article in the March Field and Stream... also send any unwanted fish to Judge jb... a little peanut oil would also be welcome....haha...

CATCH and KEEP......
CATCH and KEEP......
Judge I am glad you posted that. I argued with my neighbor not long ago that some of the bass in our neighborhood lake need to come out. All you catch is a bunch of one pounders maybe two pounders. Then there will be an occassional nice bass (maybe one a summer between everyone). He just kept saying that he never keeps bass whether in our lake or in Eagle Lake or Lake Bruin. Thats alright, I'll eat his share too.

the waterway has been full of small frys, the keep and eat idea works, we have been keeping all bass from a freind's lake and in the last two years they have gained weight. the bass are relly growing in size and numbers.
