Inflatable Decoys

Postby jtdumallard » Mon Sep 26, 2005 9:43 am

Anyone ever use them. Whats the best way to anchor them down. I bought some this year to hunt timber. they are alot easier to deal with than other dekes. Just wanted some feed back from them

I have seen folks put lead egg sinkers on them. Get them at any tackle shop cheap.

1 oz lead sinkers work great. Those things are awsome. I can carry a butt load in my small deke bag.

Yea man dem thangs are the shizzle. I like to rig em up 2 to one regular decoy weight. You can keep em seperated pretty easy and if you want with em rigged that way it is easy to rig up a jerk string.

They probably work as good as those inflatable love dolls you got laying around your house. In all seriousness though, they probably work O.K. untill some body shoots into your spread trying to finish off a wounded duck.

jtdumallard,

I had thought about getting some inflatable dekes, but didn't know how well they would work or how well they looked. I had heard the the Duck Commander had gone to inflatables.

How well do they look? Any glare to them? Any of you all thought about using or have used inflatable geese decoys? Can they still be rigged with a jerk string/cord and make enough movement?

drakeshead, they look pretty darn good. i primarily bought them to hunt in the timber with. what these are are pictures of actual ducks that they imprinted on. they are kinda glossy but who cares they werent that expensive and if they work i may never buy another plastic deke

Featherlite makes em...Wally World sells em...under$15 for a six pack. They look great, and, have that kinda blue coler that greenheads have. They rig to a jerk chord great, very lightwieght and portable 8) 8) 8)

Brad you can't have inflatable decoys man, that would not last one hunt being that the only way you can hit a duck is skillet shoot em
