ATV'S ??????????????

Postby judge jb » Sat Mar 23, 2002 12:31 am

the Kawasaki 650 was rated as the best 4-wheeler for this year... at a cool 75 hundred bucks, it ought to be a good ride.. tops out at over 65 mph... little too fast for me....haha....

i got a 350 Big Bear and a 350 Honda and i am happy with both.. never rode a 4-wheeler i didn't like... {until it lets me down and i have to walk...}

I have a 99 Yamaha 350 BigBear 4x4 with a 2000 lb warn winch never had one minutes trouble out of it the ride is great and I like the funny looking handle bars they come up a little higher than those on other bikes. Only been stuck 1 time on it and we were riding a place that had just had the timber cut on it and it was muddy when they cut and I bottomed out on about a 2 1/2 ft skidder rut. I did after 2 years put some aftermarket tires on it and man will it pull! If I had to go and buy another 4 wheeler it would be a Yamaha. Honda is a good bike too from what all my buddies say.So ride both of them a take your pick.

Couldn't resist replying on this one.

I have an older model Grizzly and love it. It does get warm around the legs during summer, but that is never a problem during hunting season. My hunting partner has a brand new model Grizzly, and it is awesome.

Honda's run great too, but the ones that I have ridden do not have the good turning radius that I have on my Yamaha.

My advice would be to pick a size that you want, whether it be the biggest or something smaller and test ride the Yamaha and Honda versions for that size. Then, get whichever one feels the best both while ridding and in you wallet.

Tmoore, go to www.atvconnection.com, they have reviews on different bikes. Should be able to give you the pros and cons of each bike.

Personally I have always had a Honda and have never had any problems with them. I still like the Honda but in the last few years Polaris has become a lot better than they were at one time. I have a friend that was a mechanic at a Honda dealership and now works at a Polaris dealership. He tells me that the Polaris is a lot better built than the Honda is.

Hey DUCKSLAYER, Rick may have 30 f-ing 3-wheelers in his back yard, but none of em' belong to him. It will take more than a 1977 Honda to take me down. I've ran over enough pine trees in my old z-71 and passed out on enough concrete slabs to know what can take me down and what can't. So there.

Damn water of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!
