started looking for a lease recently.was somewhat surprised by the amt. of money that farmers are asking for leases.just curiuos what you guys are paying this yr for leases. I have found land that i know is good land in different parts of north Miss.but the farmers are wanting almost $90 /acre [gauranteed water] or must rely on rains to fill these holes.I have seen a good many birds on one of these last yr. when we had a lot of water. still looking for a decent place to hunt.

will do kelly, but i think my boy has a football game that nite
It will also depend on how many acres in the property you are leasing, how many (quality) places you can hunt on those acres and the quality of the land.
Land cost and farm fuel, engines and wells are expensive!
$90 is high though ... maybe you need to come to AR
Again, look at my first long sentence and see how it stand up to that. Around here, 90 acres would be a max of hunting one group at a time and that's small. My smallest field is 150 acres with one pit in it!
Hope this helps.

I don't have anything left and only do one or two any season now. Was really trying to give a comparision more than hustle business, but thanks for the kind words.
I can't do anything else this year ... I'm already behind on getting pits pumped and boats ready
Going to have to do a few 24/7 if I'm not careful. The grand openings and waterfowl weekends are a good time thoguh. Nothing like meeting everyone and getting to hear different thoughts and tactics on working ducks!!!
