How many of ya'll are getting fired up about the up comeing season?

Are you seeing many birds in your fields.

With this heat and the price of gas i want be going opening weekend. I hunt them to get the enjoyment of working my dog and it's a blast but the round trip will be around 150 bucks just for gas. I've seen more birds this year than past so i'm hopeing ya'll will get a good hunt.

Them little grey breast sure are great on the grill, soaked in italian dressing and wrapped in bacon.

It's been pointless for me to hunt without my dog. It's just more fun to watch him than for me just to shot a bird and pick it up. Dog's are a real enjoyment to watch doing what they love doing. I really can't justify sitting a black lab out in the middle of a field for several hours with temps in the high 90's, that's just me.

After reading my own post i've noticed my english need's some work, seriously. Good thing this is a hunting forum and not english clase or i would be screwed.

seen plenty of birds...........just dont know of a place to hunt them at closer to home

Have not seen many dove in the lower Delta. Hope it's just the hot weather.
