A guy at work suggested using the foam boad between the ribs then covering it in sheet metal and taking it and having a Rhino liner sprayed in. I called and they can spray it in OD green for about 250.00. Has any body had any experience with this stuff in a boat?

get the rhino lining that comes in a can and treat the plywood with it, this is better than anything to keep the plywood lasting for years and years. then put the carpet over to make things a little more quite.

cookm, I have got a Rhino liner in truck bed. If you get any mud on it at all, especially delta mud it becomes slick as owl #*@$! And you can "forget about it" when it gets below freezing with moisture on it!

I had a spray-in liner installed in a a bay boat. It is great, except when wet! I don't recall what type. When I was looking around, there seemed to be dif. types. Mine is not the rock hard kind, but is more the consistency of rubber. The rock hard kind like LineX might work better. In a unique application, they usually quote at about $7/square foot, as I recall. You don't want to know how much that means ona 21.5' long 90" wide boat with decks and hatches, etc.

Next time I have to try a relatively simple application, I will try to do it my self for $100 at wal Mart. Has anyone had success doing it themselves?

We have line-x in an 18' riverboat, and it works well. You don't slip in the rain and it will not scald you in the hot summer.

Cookm, I agree with Torch. Call f&f. I had Bobby build me a 1754 with aluminum floor and he covers it with a skid proof covering. I dont care how wet or cold it is NOT slippery Now Dundee buckshot mud is a different story. you could get it on pure sand and it would be slippery.He charged me about 250 xtra but that was while he was building the boat and he covered everything inside the boat with the non skid material.

Cookm , a good idea to jot down what you have in mind b-4 calling. He will build any configuration
you want, any options you want. I have had 2 built by him and have had several friends who had him build them boats. The last couple times he told them to draw out & list what they wanted and fax him it and he'll price it. Last one I got was a 1754, 100 ga., front deck, pedestals set up for 4 seats with rear bench, camo paint w/ alum floor w/ non skid material. cost 2400 and change. Finest duck boat I have ever owned. Floatation is super. Will build custom HD trailer for it for 700. One thing about F&F is they are all custom built no mass production. You could hang a 200 on the transom and not phase it Might point to the sky but u never would tear transom up!!!
