Sucker Fish war!!

Postby Delta Duck » Mon Mar 04, 2002 8:12 pm

Has anyone been keeping up with the sucker fish and the farmer war going on?

God put man on this earth to rule over the fish and animals. Enough said about that!!

If that happened in Delta we would catch all of them and have a big fish fry and party.

Is there something wrong with me?
I don't have any problem making a choice to protect families lively hood, over a fish.

Is that the only place that fish can make it is right there on that river. Nobody cares more about wildlife than me, I also feel they were put on this earth for us.

I would like to know for how many years this has been going on.

I would like for someone to ring in on this. I guess I have gone overboard.

What do you think Judge? about the fish war not about if I have lost my mind.

Delta Duck
This travesty is brought to you by the same people who want to save the whales but want to make sure that as many abortions as possible take place. Go figure.

It's the latest crusade of greenpeace and the sierra club thugs.

Turns out this sucker fish lives in a river that the farmers have been getting irrigation water from. Last year they would not let the farmers use the water to irrigate the crops. Short of it the banks, want loan the money to farm if the farmers can't have water rights. greenpeace and the other thugs have made it know, that would be fine for the farm families to go bankrupt.

I just can not choose a fish over a person.
One study said there would be enough water for both.

The farmer needs to tell Greenpeace to fill up their bathtubs if they want to save the fish, because I'm going to pump water out of the river. Surely they will not pump the river completely dry!! Those are the same kind of people that complain about abortion and kill the Doctor performing them. GO FIGURE!!

According to the news it saved the fish but hurt the waterfowl, because the crop land was not planted and there was no food for the waterfowl to eat.

Sounds like th case of the Alabama Sturgion. It was told that the Alabama sturgion were extinct well about 3 years ago there was a fellow that caught one on either the Warrior river or the Tennesee river and some or all of the above named groups got involved and tried to close the Tenn_tom waterway to all boating traffic it caused alot of controversy around here on this side of the state and in AL. Well it still open and I havent heard of anything new in the case, my point is if boating traffic bothered them them why were they there in the first place. If it killed them them they wouldnt be any of them in the tenn river or tenn tom or the warrior.Hope they dont get in a toe hold on the rivers in the delta concerning the sucker fish they dont know when to quit kinda like the anti gun movement. I do know that they found a indian headed woodpecker on Noxubee refuge and closed the primative camping area because the woodpecker nested close to it.Same story with the Spotted owl.
