Does anyone do any serious wildlife photography, specifically waterfowl? If so, how about some tips (film type and speed, lenses, filters, photographing flying birds, apeture settings, etc.)

Good topic, I'm going this direction as well. I have been told 35mm slr 50:1 / 1000 asa and a very fast shutter speed to catch ducks in the cup, but there must be plenty of light.

You have to focus on a "range" and you have to catch them moving through that range to get razor sharp images. That is no easy feat.

Ducks on the water is easy, taking off is easy. The hard shots are the cupped and over the blocks.

That group in Jackson would be interesting, please post that information when you get it.

I have been doing wildlife and nature photography for the past 15 years. I will be glad to help point each of you in a good direction, based on your interest.

The club was meeting once a month in Jackson, but does not have the interest level it once did. I do not know if they are still active.
