hum???? i just read something intresting in the clarion ledger.. sombody in germany conducted a study on these "supplements" .. they studied several hunderd of supplements made all over the world.. including the usa..

come to find out that almost 15% failed to list steriods that were contained inside the supplements.. 15% that seems to be a fairly high number to fail to mention the fact that said supplement has steriods in it..

whats up with that.. i mean at 15% that could raise a reasonable doubt couldn't it...

gator, i resect your interest and experience immensely and would loved to have seen someone so passionate about the game as yourself play with their heart. I'm neither justifying nor endorsing the use of roids, but it's why I don't give a flying whoop about sports beyond college level. I'd rather watch 8 year olds play ball - any sport, pick one - that are playing it only because they love the game. Won't to get rid of roids in professional? Quit "showing [them] the money".

The tchnology surgey/dope anology may have been a reach: how's it apples to apples that histories legends' records are being broken by a generation that can have their knees rebuilt via the modern miracle of science and continue to play? look, excuse my rants bout this thing, but man, i'm just pissed....sick is prolly a better term. look around at who's done what in the last 10 years and everydamoneofem "look" like roiders and i never have been big on one of em.....but, this dude, man he has the best looking swing in baseball. before now, you could hang your hat on him as a great power-hitting ballplayer that has it b/c of swing, mechanics, and great hand-eye coordination......you can NOT say that now.

hell, i used to watch tapes of him hitting (i bat left) when i was struggling to see if i could pick something out.......all that time, WASTED.

honestly, ***, i ain't "@#$%#" w/ em....that's coming from whatever's left of my "soul"...all that time i played, all i could think of was "getting to the show"...my biggest problem (and ask anyone this) was that i could not except failure, if i struck out the first AB, i was toast...if i crushed the ball, look out cause it was on....i never could get it in my head that the most successful people playing only succeed 3 outta 10 times....it ate me up, i loved it so much, but it was like getting kicked in the nutts time after time....BUT, i never sought out a "magic bullet", NEVER....i took it and in the end, i had to accept just not being good enough..............that's what get's stolen from me outta this whole deal......that dude, and SO MANY more like him probably weren't good enough to do what they've done (that being the record breaking) w/out something extra....

to top it off, i've seen my dad cry TWICE in my whole life - the day his mom (my grandma) died and the day i walked off that field for the last time...i had to watch that, and deal w/ finally knowing i wasn't good enough.....i had to deal, why can't those crooks?
