Rough Cut Cypress

Postby msumallardman » Mon Aug 01, 2005 3:09 pm

Anyone know where I can get a bargain  on enough rough cut cypress (preferably around 1" x 12" wide) to cover 2000-2,500 sq. ft.?

Also looking for some bunk beds (wood or steel) that are in good condition.

Please send PM if you can help with either. Thanks.

no such thing as a "bargain" cypress, or any specialty wood for that matter. Swedenburg Lumber over in Columbus 662-242-1474 cuts top order.

My dad got a heck of a deal a couple of years ago from some fella in Brownsville, TN. But I think he bought out his entire stock is why he got such a good deal.

Look them up it will be worth a shot. Lumber yard in Brownsville.

Sorry so vague.

Be careful if you're trying to get "pecky" cypress. We bought a bundle a few years ago and only the top layers were pecky. Had to buy 2 more bundles to get enough boards to match and complete the room. The non-pecky boards made some pretty cabinets though.

Joe Hollingsworth in Carthage (might be listed under Tuscola) cuts a good bit of cypress and is a straight up fellow.
