A 60 day season has been proposed.

Postby webfoot » Fri Jul 22, 2005 9:20 am

From Tunica, where Mississippi Flyway Council is meeting.... The matrix totals are not complete, but the talk is:

A 60 day season has been proposed.

Nov. 19-Dec. 4
Dec. 16-Dec. 24
Dec. 26-Jan. 29

Daily bag limit of 6 ducks, no more than 4 mallards (one hen).

Canvasback season Dec. 31-Jan. 29.

Wait and see what the final outcome will be... it is very close to call at this time.

Too much.
We'll have to take less days to see more ducks in the future I believe. They probably won't show up this year just like the previous three or four.
3/45.

I hope we get the 60 day season, but wouldn't it be more logical to open it a week later. You would still get the same amount of weekends of hunting if you opened it:

Nov. 26-27
Dec. 2-24
Dec. 26 - Jan. 29

Just my thoughts on the matter.

I will be working on some holes this weekend and look foward to the start regardless when it is.

At this point, the 60 day season is the proposal. It hasn't been accepted, and Harden will post when he finds out. I spoke with him, and he said it is very close.

Sounds good to me! More days to hunt. I wouldn't mind a smaller bag limit. I have read on other sites that pintails might be 1 for all year, the same with cans. The cans all yr sound good with me. I love shooting cans on the big waters of toledo bend.

Then there's still a chance that sanity will win out and they will go with a 45 day season. Pray that thay do!

From talk of a spinner ban and a 45 day season, to lookin like spinner city and 60 days. What a "@#$%#" joke!
