I am getting back to the basics and hunting more on public land this season. I am also going to make time, even if it is using vacation days to do some more scouting!

I'm gonna sleep late and hit the boat ramp about 10:00 am....when everybody else is LONG gone.

Then I'm gonna motor to my 'spot'......take one gadwall decoy and set it out about 300yds with a remote detinator hooked up to some C4 covered with 7/8" roofing tacks.....hidden in the cavity of the decoy. :?

When that lone gadwall (the one we saw ALL last year), circles 15 times and lands 200yds from the decoy......then swims-in to within 5 feet of it, I'll hit the 'send' button........and 'send' his rear-end straight to Hell. ("neet-neet....neet.....ne-neet....BOOOOOM!!)

I have a similar plan for snow geese, using a remote control model airplane and a cluster bomb.

Unconventional times calls for unconventional methods.

"neet-neet...neet-neet...boom" HAHAHAHA

Personnally , I think flying on more corn is the only change worth making  !!

going to be hunting a little public land this year in the hills.

going to try hunting out of a boat. never have done that before.

going to use the internet twice as hard for my scouting

my biggest investment this year will be school. that way i can hopefully enjoy hunting a little more as time goes on.

got to make a boat blind, if i can cheaply make one. get a couple more dekes, a new call, and a e-collar for my dog and i'll be set.

1) I think I will try to average killing a (one) duck every 6 or 7 trips this year.... which would be a huge improvement !

2) Gonna get me one of those 25' tall "Taj Mahal" pontoon boat duck blinds, and anchor it in Tunica's honey hole... 8)

Avery Finisher and Powerhunter blinds complete with neotubs and killerweed.

More GHG decoys to include the full body specks.

More days afield with my soon to be 8 year old hunter. We're gunning for first greenhead, first goose and first limit this year.
