He's no angel

Postby CaptnT » Thu Feb 28, 2002 1:30 pm

I sold my sweetheart to no angel today.

You take care of her no angel, she was always good to me.

For those of you that are wondering what the heck I am talking about, I sold my '78 CJ-7 to him. He said he would show up today with cash, and he did. No angel is a no-nonsense kind of fella, and that can rub some folks the wrong way.

I know he ruffled some feathers on this site this season, but he is a pretty good fella in person. I was worried about passing up on other buyers on just his word, but he kept his end of the deal up with me.

Good doing business with you no angel, I'll call when I am ready to buy that boat!

Well I tell ya I read a few post from the Angel and I don't know where all the fuss is coming from. I have had post on here that would make Angle's post look like they came from a boy scout.

But then he didn't step on my toe's so I ought to keep my mouth shut huh?

I guess compared to Benny he is an angel!

I met Benny a couple of times, and he isn't such a bad fella either, but definitely a stronger cup of java than your average joe.

Not for everybody for sure, but he knows his ducks.

This is such an impersonal medium that it is hard to intreprete the nuances that face to face communication instantly conveys. That's why we have those cute little faces to help us out. Funny how we have to have a "facial" reference to communicate our intentions.

I just wish everybody could get along.

No angel, let me throw my 2 cents in this since you mentioned F & F Custom built Boats I'm glad Bobby finally got someone to handle his boats over here. He has been building boats since 1959 and has never advertised a one of them. All word of mouth. I had him build me a boat years ago and that was & still is one of the toughest, best built boats I have ever seen. About 3 years ago I had him build me another for JUST hunting, a 54/17, and set it up for my go-devil. That is one of the most awesome boat you have seen. Got so good floatation you can almost float it in a bird bath. You could run a 100hp on it as it is WELL built. F & F Custom Boats are one of the very best!!!
