Hey Chopper.........
Did you by chance catch that classic chokejob by the Braves last night in the 13th inning against the Marlins? It was priceless, needless to say.

Hey Chop.........Looky here.
Yanks outlast Rangers to take over 1st place
From wire reports
ARLINGTON, Texas — After 3 1/2 months of struggles, the New York Yankees moved back into first place.
Kevin Brown struggled in his return to the rotation, but Jorge Posada, Gary Sheffield and Hideki Matsui homered and Ruben Sierra hit a go-ahead, two-run single in the eighth inning in an 11-10 victory over the Texas Rangers on Monday night.
New York, which won for the 11th time in 13 games, improved to a season-high nine games over .500 at 50-41 and leads the AL East by a half-game over Boston and Baltimore (both 50-42). The Yankees, whose 11-19 start was their worst since 1966, were nine games back after play on May 7.
The Yankees had not been alone in first since beating the Red Sox in the April 3 season opener and had not held a share since after games of April 9, when they were tied with Tampa Bay and Toronto.
Mariano Rivera worked the ninth for his 24th straight save conversion.

Oh bite me! Atlanta moved to within a 1/2 game after winning last night, but more imporant, Chipper made his first start in 37 or so games, and in his first at-bat, sent one about 420'....

CF Andruw Jones and 3B Chipper Jones hit back-to-back homers in the first inning Monday. The duo has homered in the same game four times this year and 44 times overall. The Braves are 38-6 when both homer in the same game... Activated from the disabled list before Monday's contest, Chipper Jones batted fifth in the lineup for the first time since June of 1995. ... Andruw Jones has four multi-homer games this season and 25 in his career. ... RHP Jim Brower tossed a perfect inning in his first appearance against San Francisco since he was released by the club on June 15. ... Manager Bobby Cox recorded his 1,700th with Atlanta. He should manage his 3,000th game with the club August 10.
Awright...what do the Braves do now with the young kids they called up for bats while the regulars were on DL? I say McCann stays up as a second catcher and Francouer goes back to Jackson. It has been fun to watch Jeff have a good few weeks up here in the show, but he needs to play everyday. I think the Braves will be very active in the trade market to make room for him this winter. I think we'll see some pretty big names go to make room.
How are the MS Braves doing with all these folks called up?
