Hung up, I let you keep the hunting shows. I just moved into a new house this past winter as was excited b/c I could get cable and the hunting channel. Guess what, dont hardly watch it anyway. Something about shooting a deer over a feed trouph or corn feeder just dont excite me. As for fishing shows the only one worth watching is good old Bill Dance. During the off season I'll take my NASCAR anyday.

BrianB, we must be about the same age. Rock & Roll was cool, but the "THUMP" was awesome. Memphis wrestling was the king. Do you remember Pork Chop Cash?

HHHoooooooooooo!!! THE MAN. Give me a 2by4.

As far as Nascar goes, you need to lose that 2. Don't get me wrong, I like Ricky too, but that #8 car is the one to pull for.

Peewee, you still ain't gonna turn me into a nascar fan.

However, I must admit that the outdoor channel and others have gotten awful soft on us. We hunters need to see more from Ted Nugent, Drury Outdoors, and more Duckmen on TV. Which would be a great new topic to begin. Just might go ahead and start it up.

Swampland, you must be young and don't know any better if you are pulling for Little E. He's nothing but a young punk who likes playing nintendo all day. You obviously have never been to a race. Live, those guys are awesome. Doesn't every guy dream of driving a 500 horsepower car 200 mph, bumper to bumper with other crazy idiots? You ought to hear those cars rumble when they crank it up!! Awesome! Not ragging on ya Swamp, but don't knock the sport 'till you have given it a fair chance. Nothing better than fast cars and loose women.

KAMALA, that makes sense. Yea, there was an old ball coach that I knew that was a big guy too, real nice as well, that had a chance to get into wrestling, but he jusst siad he did like it.
Swamp we must be close in age.

I have never been to a NASCAR race, but since this is my last spring in Birmingham, I figure I should at least go see the Talladega 500 once, so I am planning on going this year, just because I am curious to see what it is like live. Anyone ever been to Talladega and have any suggestions?

Well, while I like to stick with the Roush Team and Fords in general, I admit to pulling for the Earnharts in the past. Just something about the Late Great #3 and his "Don't get in my way" attitude. As to Gordon, well, he got fired at my Uncle-in-laws track about 15 years ago when he put a modified on the wall...nough said. All in all, I would rather watch 1/4 mile dirt track race than a mile and a half asphalt.

Hey, what about George "The Animal" Steel? Hell, he could ugly the competition into submission! LMAO

I don't think anybody argues that 24 car is an incredible talent...just hard to like.

What ever happened to Front Row Joe?...he doesn't get up there much any mo.

Now on crazy wrestlers....none more insane than Joe LeDuc or Terry Funk

Pulling for 22 myself. Used to help run his fan clubs website. He is true class act and sportsman.

For those of you interested in a Nascar Points game give me a hollar. Not trying to promote anything, just a game me and some guys at work have been playing for a few years. If this is ok just delete it Judge or GC.

JYD was the man. His name was Sylvester Ritter, and when the WWF canned him over weight problems he did repossessions all over the state. He died about 3 years ago in a car wreck.

You cannot have a "top" list of southern wrasslers without Jackie Fargo, Bullet Bob Armstrong, Tiny "Plowboy"/"Uncle Elmer" Frazier (from Pascagoula), Stagger Lee (Verlon Biggs also from Pascagoula),Iceman Parsons, Thunderbolt Patterson, Haystacks Calhoon, Bill "Superstar" Dundee, and the ORIGINAL Freebirds (Rogers, Gordy, Hayes).
