Just thought that these guys are hardcore at what they do. What other shows/videos do ya'll find very hardcore or informative about hunting and fishing of any type. And what is your reasoning behind it?????

Roland Martin is way to hyper-active for me.

all roland martin does is promote his sons fishing service...he use to be good, but nowdays he sucks. I really use to like dan fitzgerald, but he has gotten too commercialized for me now. Phil robertson has bitten the corporate bullet also. Drury boys are good. Ted nugent is kinda goofy.

I believe that I would like a hunting show made up of homemade clips (no editing). That would be cool. You wouldn't have to put up with all the promotional crap. Just good ole boys out doing what they love.

IMHO:

Ted Nugent was a great guitarist. As a hunter and self-appointed spokesman for hunting rights, he is a self-promoting, egotistical nut who does not help the sport with his wildman, drink their blood persona. While I'm sure he is passionate about the sport, that's not enough.

Roland Martin is one of the greatest bass fishermen to ever live, but is also an unabashed self-promoter.

Drury Outdoors. Some great turkey callers and hunters no doubt, but poor quality videos and even poorer quality calls. Mark Drury has put more junk products on the market than anyone in the history of sporting goods. I refuse to believe he actually believed calls such as the Carbonator and Dead Silence were quality calls which worked since almost universal reviews say they are awful pieces of junk.

Someone mentioned Phil Robertson. He is a nice fellow. I stopped by his place one day -- he took time to tune a call for me, gave me some tips on how to blow it better, and was all-in-all a nice fellow. Sure, he has given in to commercialism. Duck hunting and products are his livelihood, and he sells what works. Most once genuine articles eventually go commercial if given the opportunity. However, while I enjoy his videos, I don't think they're good for the sport. His "duck hunting snuff films" with him biting dying ducks' heads, eating peanuts from the craw of a freshly killed duck, whack and stack hunts, tobacco spitting, etc. approach to hunting gives the Anti's fodder.

Don't shoot me, just pitching my two cents worth into the topic -- I could be wrong on the facts but not on my opinion.

I agree on a good bit of what you said.

I have never seen any other videos by Drury Outdoors, but I know that them boys know how to kill BIG BUCKS with a bow. I think their bowhunting videos are real good. Don't know about their products.

Drury boys' "poison" call is a very sweet sounding call.
