BTW, I had no idea Meyer is going to run the option. Interesting.

You gotta have a stable full of RBs and a mobile QB to make that work. I know they got Leake, but not sure about their RBs. Bama ran it in 2002 with success, but its still tough to do in the SEC.

hbrown..I think it will take Fla a few games to get going with the new coach. I hope it's good that we play you early.

Webb...Majors has been gone about 15 years and Phil didn't move him out but it was the best thing for our program at the time.

Come out of the past....the Bear is not coming back!!! :shock:

Don't know how you figure Phil did anything wrong to Majors...Majors just wasn't getting it done anymore, and Fulmer was.... Just the way it works.... And if I was gonna pick one of those two fella's to spend the mornin' in duck blind with, Majors don't stand a chance....

As for FLA...I think Meyer see's the same thing I see, that Leake throws on the roll out better than he does in the pocket...and the triple option helps create that type situation while forcing defenses to respect the run....
Only problem is that's a lot of wear and tear on your QB, and it takes a long time to get the option rythm going...

I saw an interview with Majors about 3 weeks ago and its pretty obvious he still holds a grudge. Actually, it was quite funny.

BTW, what does that have to do with Bear Bryant? Oh wait, it doesn't.

The only problem I see with the triple option is that we have nobody to catch the ball out of the backfield. We have some descent rbs but no real standouts.
