I'm actually kinda glad. Bet we'll see a LOT more clubs running quad uplands over a weekend.
From the HRC website, an update on the meeting:
"The policy regarding the # of points required for a GRHRCH title has changed. You will be required to obtain the upland title. This policy is contingent upon a running rules change being passed that removes the upland test from the grand itself."
How about it?
How about it?

i've always said (and having never run an upland or grand) that i would cut off the upland from the grand as it's just sorta a cursory deal and make the UH a must to even be eligible to run the grand....my thinking was it would help inject some life into a program that has not been utilized...
that was, until i talked w/ trav over a beer up at ole hatchie....dude made some GREAT points for it....
now, i'm thinking.....come outta the gate quatering....steady to wing and shot, pick up bird, and GET INVITED to run the blind
truly incorporating "hunt anywhere, under any conditions" into that title....

Well guys all I can say was the meeting went very smooth. I think we have a great TEAM in the EC now. I was very impressed with the way Jim Reichman handled the meeting since Rod Smith was not present. I believe going into the weekend that Bobby Williams was going to win. But I think the way that Jim responded to matters pulled some votes. I am sure it was a close count. JMHO. But I did over hear some good things this morn about sponsorships and programs. I will keep it at that till the word is out from the EC. I can say that if the things that I heard come about look forward to an incredible year from HRC.

What was passed was only a change in policy to keep us within the guidelines agreed with ukc on the title. The rule proposal could not ever be considered with out the policy being effect first. The grand upland being dropped is a rule proposal for next year. It will be considered, it (in mho and most others) wont be adopted. No reason to get excited, cause it aint gonna happen, nor (again imho) should it. travis
