Mr Mills i think you might want to try and find a place other than Tucaloosa Alabama to try and hunt ducks, heck we did not even have that many ducks in the delta this year and had none around the Tom Bigbee area this year you need to be looking for a place father west or up around IL. they say there were plenty up that way cause they fed them all year! But i wish you good luck and if you find anything in our neck of the woods that have a bunch of ducks let me know i am your next door neighbor over here in Columbus Mississippi. Duck-a-holic, Sounds like you Columbus boys had a hard year. I am from Kemper county and we did not have anything either.

Maybe next year.

As far as a duck club around Tuscaloosa that kills alot of ducks I think you are going ot have to look hard. The river holds ducks on a normal year though.

Hotty toddy we did have a bad year here worst i have seen in 5 or 6 years but maybe it will be better we did kill a few on the river here but had to hunt really long and hard to get those. We only had 2 good hunts at our lease in the delta and they were not just jam up good hunts but were better than around here.Where in Kemper county do you live I am from Brooksville but live in Columbus now.

I'll pitch in my two cents on this subject. In short...there is nothing in or near Tuscaloosa worth seeking as far as duck hunting. I have hunted the Tombigbee from Aliceville to Demopolis and there is UNREAL pressure in these areas now. It started last year with the freeze and we were covered in ducks.

If anything good comes from this year perhaps it will kill the "bandwagon" duck hunters who fill up the boat launches and set up 75 yds across from you!!

Jonathan, I'd look along the Sipsey River, West of you. It always looks like a good prospect for jump-shooting woodies. Rent a canoe and float it this summer if you can find access to it. Your dog will love it, too! Good Luck.
