Another for you older guys
Is it just me or are parents today so protective of their children that they have done away with paddlings at school.. that parents are ready to press charges if someone else lays a hand on their child ? seems like the older generations were "raised by the village" when you were growing up would a teacher or neighbor get a switch after you ?
if a child is not under direct supervision of the parents is it ok for another adult to "whom is of some aquaintance to the parent" tell a child right from wrong ?
think about when you were growing up and how society is today.. my wife gets furious when someone else attempts to discipline our son but i don't see anything wrong with it...

interesting , the way i look at it if my girls deserve it then they get it ( where ever and by whom ever ) but they also know that when I hear about them acting up ( or what ever ) they will get it again by me but worse.
I have 2 girls ( 15 and 12 ) and i have never had this problem ( yet )..........

put that in your duck call and Blow It!!!
Right on Tunica.
My wife teaches 6th grade. She'll tell you that 99% on the "No Paddle" list have no home training and the parents are more to blame than anyone. She says if the parents would let her do her job and quit interfering with how she teaches, the kids might learn something. Discipline is taken out of context from the teacher to the kids to the parent. She's had a few this year threaten her with "calling the board" on her. She just gives them the number and says "tell them I said hello".
I was paddled and I turned out ok.
Who's going to protect them from the "no paddle list of life" when they are older and the parents can't protect them anymore. You gotta learn sometime.

Thats the freaking problem with kids now is us the parents. We will do our own spanking (bullsh t) you normally believe your kids before believing an a adult. My son would not do that!!! Yea right wake up parents. I don't mine my son getting his butt worn out when has done something wrong by any adult that has common sense. Trust me I had my booty busted a lot. I believe kids should get paddlings and I also believe in prayer.

Take-Em!!!!

Discipline Lessons
Discipline is as important as learning your ABC's. As a matter of fact,
you should start teaching your kids discipline and obedience before the
ABC's. A major function of discipline is punishment (many different types).
What ever type you use had better be effective and get the point
across that "NO" means "NO". I agree if the parents do their job at home
that most of the problems will be taken care of. But, on the other side
of the coin is that "kids will be kids", it is just their nature to test the
boundaries. Especially when they are not around their parents. That is
when you need the discipline and guidance from other parents and adults
to step in and do their part. Parents that do not want their kids to be
corrected by other parents and adults had better wake up or they will
never have a chance and problems will only get bigger. I promise you,
your kids are not perfect so don't assume they do no wrong. I have two
myself and know they will do as much as you let them get away with.
Always say "Yes Sir" and "No Sir", and "Yes Mam" and "No Mam" to all
adults and parents.
Good Day!

In most cases the threat of punishment stops things from happening..IS why regardless of the prison term some still do the crime...some dont care they do what they wish regardless. I bet you bud did not go home and brag to his Dad about it
